PODCAST: Trump vs. Fox; Fire Debbie Wasserman Shultz; Feds Killing of Oregon Protester, Ep. 56

January 28, 2016: Shining a spotlight on the exploitation of the presidential debates by the corporate media, the World Meets America Report looks at Donald Trump’s incredible talent for winning the hearts of Democrats, independents and conservatives alike by attacking Fox News over its handling of tonight’s Republican debate and his counterattack against Ted Cruz for his comments about “New York values.” Host William Kern then turns his attention to the corrupted Democratic National Committee and its pro-Clinton Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Shultz, who never had any intention of giving Hillary Clinton’s opponents a platform to challenge her “inevitable” candidacy, intentionally scheduling the Democratic debates opposite major sporting events and on holiday weekends when they were guaranteed to have the smallest number of viewers.

In the second part of the program, host William Kern spoke to Deb Jordan, co-host of Off the Hook in the Morning, about the standoff between protesters and federal officials over the occupation of a building at the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge in Oregon and the killing yesterday of the protester’s spokesman LaVoy Finicum. Ms. Jordan told William Kern that the standoff stems from the encroachment of the federal government on private land, egged on overzealous environmentalists who want to restrict access to these lands for almost any purpose. The trigger for the current standoff, Ms. Jordan said, was a charge of terrorism against a local rancher for setting a fire to prevent the progress of a wildfire that slightly encroached on federal land. The protesters considered the charge a flimsy pretext for land confiscation, which triggered the current standoff in Oregon.
