In this first episode, Kern, a 21st century cross between Edward R. Murrow and Rod Serling, says he and his guests will discuss all major national and global issues and provide tenacious scrutiny of government officials and the corporate media. In explaining the goals and parameters of the program, Kern issued an initial caveat: “Nothing we read, see and or hear in the mainstream media is trustworthy on its face. The mainstream media networks are deeply corrupted because of the huge multinational companies that own them.” He suggested to listeners that they not allow themselves to be bombarded by advertising, and to take advantage of every tool to avoid listening to or seeing them.
Kern discusses the courage and contributions of Edward Snowden, who managed to expose members of the “Deep State” more spectacularly than anyone else in living memory. Kern pointed out that these are people who can violate the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, their oaths of office and lie to one of the most powerful Senate committees in broad daylight – and get away with it.
Kern also explained his great admiration for legendary talk show host Art Bell, and promised that The World Meets America Report would examine all the issues that made Art Bell an American media pioneer, including the confluence of science and religion, the usefulness of psychedelics, NASA cover-ups, America’s continuing history of false flag incidents, the use of terrorism as an arm of foreign policy and other controversies America’s corporate media rarely seriously examines.
